20 Changes After Having a Baby

With the arrival of your newborn, a lot of things will change. Of course, having less money, less sleep, and more responsibility. But when all the attention now focus to your new born baby, you have a lot more to appreciate too.

1) You discover an inner strength you never realised you had.
2) You accept that the pregnancy weight you gain (nearly 15 kgs) are ABSOLUTELY worth it.
3) You don't need an alarm clock any more - your baby sets your daily schedule, even wakes you up for Subuh prayers.

4) You respect, love and appreciate your own parents in a new way.
5) Any pain your baby suffers feels much worse than your own. And the whole labour process didn't feel a thing anymore.
6) You don't mind going to bed at 9pm on a Friday night, or even stay at home during weekends.
7) Your heart breaks much more easily. Macam senang sangat tersentuh.
8) You discover how much there is to say about one little baby thing. Contohnya, baby's first gigi, or first smile
9) You look at your baby in the mirror instead of yourself. Muka x bermekap pun dah xkesah sangat.
10) You're no longer disgusted by babies' bodily functions - in fact, you're fascinated by them (hooray, a poo!)
11) The sacrifices you thought you'd made to have a baby no longer seem that big a deal.
12) You respect your own body ... finally.
13) You realise that a baby's comforter has magical powers!
14) A new perspective: You give parents with a screaming baby an "I-know-the-feeling" look, instead of a "Can't-they-shut-him-up?" one.
15) You make time for one more baby hug and kiss, even if it means you'll be late to work.
16) You realise that it's possible to love a complete stranger.
17) You learn that taking a 20-minute shower is a luxury.
18) You finally get to speak to the shy neighbour in your street, because you've got a baby in your arms.
19) You find that things that once seemed important are now meaningless.
20) Every day is a lovely surprise for you.
